Changes in the 2024 Festival

Instead of over 150 live performers, as well as events with a large number of performers on the bill, we will limit the featured showcases and shows to 10 events and 50 participating artists. We will also add a lecture series component and a town-hall meeting component.

This year, we will be able to use a proprietary ticketing platform and will be able to track online sales as well as sales at the venue. We will be able to account for revenues generated and be able to allocate payments digitally. That’s right, we will not be doing this in cash. You must be comfortable with online banking.

The reason for this new direction is layered.

  • We now have a way to make profit splits feasible.

  • Following the pandemic, I would like to be more purposeful in working with artists who are excited to promote, excited to tell people about what they’re working on, and active participants in making and presenting art in public.

  • I believe the cohesiveness of our aggregated promotional outreach will lead to us having amazing shows that we all feel we have a stake in.
